KDF Process media is a chemical compound used in a variety of water filtration applications such as pretreatment, primary water treatment, and waste water treatment processes. The chemical compound is a high-purity copper-zinc. KDF reduce or removes chlorine, lead, mercury, iron, magnesium, iron, chromium and hydrogen sulfide from the water. It will also inhibit the growth of lime scale, algae, bacteria, and fungi. KDF is generally use along with granular activated carbon (GAC) to take full usage of the KDF media. Not only when using these two together extends the life of the activated carbon but it also prevents the carbon from bacterial growth.
